The transformation and posing is much improved over Athena. Not difficult to transform and the transformation just "makes sense". Really happy with this one.

I got Ace Hitter alongside Nightwalker and the difference between the two figures is incredibly clear. Where as Nightwalker was finicky and cumbersome in its transformation, handling and posing (although looking marvellous!), Ace Hitter is much more refined as it seems that fans hobby have taken on board the criticisms about usability in this bot's mould mates. The colour scheme is gorgeous, and way the top of the car folds onto the back without the need for parts forming is very nice, even though it's still is a bit of kibble (I don't know why cable on the back is always seen as a bad thing, especially if you're a fan of more "toyetic" designs). The face is very strong and likeable. It's a shame that the head cap horns still need to be put on separately. Couldn't they be folded down or pushed in? The stickers are fairly easy to apply karma but unfortunately quite a few of my stickers had come off the sticker sheet and unusable. Luckily these were tiny, nonessential stickers that I would have screwed up anyway! The "head" figure was a bit flimsy than prior figures in the series. And one leg kept popping off in posing. Overall though, it's a very nice figure and I can't wait for the next in the series.
